Bill Goodwin to retire as Executive Director
Bill Goodwin, Executive Director of St. Benedict Health and Healing Ministry (SBHHM), informed the Board of Directors in January that he will retire at the end of June 2020. Bill and his family are looking forward to having more time together and will remain in the area.
“Bill’s capable direction of SBHHM allowed for a smooth transition following the retirement of the founding Executive Director two years ago, and we are in a sound place financially and programmatically”, notes Board President William Eliason. “Under Bill’s leadership, we launched a new Web site; added more Board members, volunteers and funders; acquired more community affiliations and alliances; and redesigned three programs that complement or enhance our flagship Free Clinic Program” in Boulder County.
Bill is grateful that he was able to successfully bring to nonprofit management the skills and knowledge he honed in three decades as a public sector employee. “I found it very fulfilling but, more than that, inspiring as I observed first-hand the dedication and know-how of so many talented volunteers”, Bill stated.
